Emergency Preparedness Training — Families Helping Families Region 7

Being prepared before an emergency happens can make a big difference. Join us in partnership with Families Helping Families Region 7 for a FREE preparedness training designed to help individuals, families, and caregivers better prepare for disasters and emergencies.

This training focuses on supporting people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs by providing practical guidance, helpful resources, and information about services available in the community.

During the training, participants will learn about:

  • Emergency alerts and communication systems

  • Evacuation assistance and transportation resources

  • Accessible resource center options and available services

  • Planning for medical, mobility, and personal support needs

This training is free to attend. And while it is designed with people with disabilities and other access and functional needs in mind, all residents of Region 7 parishes and surrounding areas are welcome.
