Statewide Plan

The Statewide Plan utilizes a whole community inclusion approach while also recognizing that each region of the state has unique cultural influences, resources, and disability representation.

The Disability Assessment & Coordination Entity seeks to improve recovery outcomes for the disability community with a focus on connecting individuals to appropriate and meaningful services, building on the existing coalition’s network, and engaging stakeholders at regional and state levels.

Key aspects of plan development include:

• experiential knowledge;

• inventory of community organizations and service provision within the disability community at regional and state levels;

• identification of gaps in meeting the access and functional needs of individuals with disabilities; and

• input from community partners with a focus on first-hand accounts from individuals with disabilities and their families.
